New Zealand vs Australia- NZ’s Predicted Playing XI against AUS, ICC T20 World Cup 2021 Final
Openers: Daryl Mitchell and Martin Guptill

Daryl Mitchell has been New Zealand’s standout batsman in the tournament. He played a match-winning knock of 72 runs off 47 balls in the last game against England. For New Zealand to beat Australia in the final, Mitchell has to provide the team with a solid start at the top, especially when his partner Martin Guptill isn’t in the best of form. Guptill has scored 180 runs in the tournament in 6 matches at an average of 30.
Middle-order: Kane Williamson, Glenn Phillips, Tim Siefert

New Zealand’s skipper, Kane Williamson hasn’t had a great tournament with the bat. In 6 matches, he has scored only 131 runs. With Devon Conway also not in the team, Williamson needs to play a big knock on Sunday. There is no denying the fact that he will be the biggest bet for New Zealand, as far as the batting department is concerned.
Glenn Phillips too hasn’t inspired a lot of confidence with his performances either. Having said that, he is a sensational T20 batsman and can tear apart any bowling line-up if gets going. The team would be hoping that the final of the ICC T20 World Cup would be his day.
For Conway’s replacement, Tim Siefert looks like the obvious choice. He would strengthen the inconsistent batting line-up of New Zealand.
All-rounders: James Neesham, Mitchell Santner

James Neesham’s sensational cameo in the last game would have given the team a lot of confidence. That knock has sent out a message that this line-up doesn’t depend only on Kane Williamson. Neesham is an integral part of this batting line-up and will need to play another match-winning knock on Sunday.
Mitchell Santner wasn’t used much in the last game. He gave away only 8 runs in his first over but he wasn’t used thereafter. However, with Australia having a lot of right-handers in their team, Santner’s four overs are going to be crucial on Sunday.
Bowlers: Adam Milne, Tim Southee, Trent Boult, and Ish Sodhi

New Zealand’s strength has been their bowling. Tim Southee and Trent Boult have been sensational in the tournament. Southee has given away runs at less than 6 runs an over despite bowling in all facets of the game.
On the other hand, Boult has picked the most wickets for New Zealand in the tournament. Adam Milne should make it into the playing XI as well as the third seamer. Ish Sodhi too has been brilliant for them, having picked a wicket or two consistently. them.
