T20 World Cup 2021: Watch - Ravindra Jadeja Sends Back Richie Berrington With An Off-Spinner's Delight

Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja struck for the team when he dismissed Scotland batsman, Richie Berrington, with a wonderful delivery that would be the dream of any off-spinner in the world.

The two teams are fighting it out in Dubai in their Super 12 match, with both teams eager to survive in the tournament. Virat Kohli won the toss on his birthday and opted to bowl first, something that the team hasn’t done in this tournament yet.

Jasprit Bumrah struck for the team early before Mohammad Shami provided another one. The best wicket on the night so far was delivered by Jadeja. The off-spinner came on to bowl immediately after the powerplay and struck gold in his very first over.

Right-hander, Berrington, opted to play for the straight ball but the pitch in Dubai was offering a bit of turn. The ball whizzed past Berrington’s bat and crashed into the top of the middle and off-stump. Jadeja was delighted with the wicket as he put India in firm control of the game.

Earlier, New Zealand continued to pile the pressure on India, as they defeated Namibia quite comfortably. The Indian team needs to win by a huge margin in their final two games to stay alive in the tournament. As for the Kiwis, they only need to beat Afghanistan to guarantee a semifinal berth.
