S Sreesanth Picks His India Playing XI For India vs New Zealand

Indian cricketer S Sreesanth choose his playing XI for India in their upcoming game against New Zealand in ICC T20 World Cup 2021. Sreesanth picked Ishan Kishan instead of Hardik Pandya in his best XI players for Team India. India are set to face New Zealand in the next game on October 31. The venue of the match is Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
India have already lost their opening game to Pakistan in ICC T20 World Cup 2021. India faced a big defeat in the hands of Pakistan, losing the match by 10 wickets. Now, the match against New Zealand is very crucial for India. A defeat against New Zealand can thoroughly hamper India’s chances of making it to the semi-finals.

S Sreesanth’s Playing XI For India Against New Zealand
Ahead of the IND vs NZ match, Indian cricketer S Sreesanth revealed his playing XI in an exclusive chat with Cricketaddictor. Sreesanth picked the pair of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli as openers in his team. He kept KL Rahul at the no.3 spot. For the wicket-keeper and no.4 batsman, the right-arm pacer went ahead with Rishabh Pant.
Later, he kept Suryakumar Yadav at the no.5 spot. Sreesanth, who was a member of the Indian team that won 2011 ODI World Cup, chose Ishan Kishan over Hardik Pandya as the latter is not able to bowl currently. He mentioned that Kishan can bat as an opener or at the middle-order.

For all-rounder, he picked Ravindra Jadeja in the side. For the full-time spinner, the Kerala player felt that Varun Chakravarthy will be the best choice for the team. He came up with the same set of pacers that played for India in the last game. He picked Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar as the three pacers in the playing XI.

In the group 2 points table, Pakistan hold the top spot with 6 points. They have won 3 games out of 3 so far. Afghanistan take the 2nd spot with 1 win and 1 loss in 2 games. India hold the 5th spot in the points while New Zealand are placed on the 4th spot. Each team in the group will play 5 matches. The top two teams from the group will qualify for the semi-finals.
