T20 World Cup 2021: If India Makes The final, It Would Be A Great Thing – Pakistan Coach Saqlain Mushtaq

Pakistan coach Saqlain Mushtaq has said that it would be great if India made it to the final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 to lock horns with Pakistan.

For the very first time, Pakistan was able to defeat India in the World Cup encounter. The Babar Azam-led side completely outperformed Virat Kohli-led India and won the one-sided match by 10 wickets. Pakistan openers Mohammad Rizwan (79*) and Babar Azam (68*) chased down the target of 152 comfortably on Sunday, October 24.

Meanwhile, Saqlain was asked that if he would want another game with the arch-rivals India in the final of the mega event, to which he replied: “If India makes the final, it would be a great thing because I feel, and this is not because we have beaten them, they are a strong team, everyone considers them a favourite.

“Do match khelenge to relation aur acche ho jaenge (playing one more match would only better our relations).”

Saqlain Mushtaq added that the way players of both sides behaved in the high-profile clash sent a strong message to humanity.

“In the previous game, the way Virat Kohli, (MS) Dhoni and even our own players conducted themselves, it sent a strong message that we are all humans, we all love each other, it is just a game.

“Hats off to the players for sending the message. Dosti ki jeet ho, dushmani ki haar ho (friendship should triumph, enmity should lose),” Saqlain Mushtaq said.

England Is A Favourite, Australia Plays Tough Cricket, South Africa Also – Saqlain Mushtaq

The Pakistan coach Saqlain stated that he feels England, Australia and South Africa are favourites to win the T20 World Cup 2021.

“Jab aap aate hain to become a world champion, then you don’t look at opponents, you focus on your own game. England is a favourite, Australia plays tough cricket. South Africa also. I believe, commitment, attitude and process are in your hands, not the results,” Saqlain maintained.

Saqlain Mushtaq feels that a team should be able to execute their plans, which will help them succeed.

“You should be able to execute the plans, no matter who you are playing. If India makes finals, the ICC will be happy, fans will be happy,” he concluded.
