ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is scheduled to begin on October 17 and the summit clash of the tournament will take place on November 14 in the United Arab Emirates. Notably, The first edition of the T20 World Cup was held in the year 2007 and it took place in South Africa and India managed to win the inaugural tournament by defeating Pakistan. Meanwhile, the latest edition of the T20 World Cup was held in the year 2016 which West Indies won by defeating England by 4 wickets.

The former Sri Lanka batsman Tillakaratne Mudiyanselage Dilshan is one of the most successful batters to emerge from Sri Lanka. Dilshan enjoyed massive success in his T20I career scoring over 1800 runs representing Sri Lanka in T20 Internationals smashing one century and 13 half-centuries. Also during the 2009 ICC World Twenty20, he discovered a shot named “Dilscoop”.

So far Tillakaratne Mudiyanselage Dilshan has managed to smash 6 half-centuries batting in the T20 World Cups. Also, he is among the tournament’s highest run-getters as he has scored 897 in 35 games at a strike rate of 124.06 and an average of 30.93.
