Legendary South Africa pacer Dale Steyn shared a clip of Indian skipper Virat Kohli on his Instagram after the latter won his first toss of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021.
Birthday boy Virat Kohli who is very unfortunate in terms of toss, finally won his first toss in the mega event against Scotland National Cricket Team at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Friday, November 5. Notably, Kohli had lost 13 out of his last 14 international tosses.
Kohli opted to bowl first and Indian bowlers had an amazing outing in the match. Pacer Mohammed Shami and spinner Ravindra Jadeja bagged 3-wicket hauls each, Jasprit Bumrah bagged 2 wickets and Ravichandran Ashwin picked one wicket. Meanwhile, Scotland were able to score 85 runs batting first.
Chasing the target openers Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul were off to a flying start and they added 70 runs off 30 balls and Suryakumar Yadav finished off in style by smashing a six. Also after the one-sided victory, India now has a better run rate than both Afghanistan and New Zealand.

Steyn who is in Dubai working as a commentator for the official broadcasters for the T20 World Cup 2021, just after the toss shared a clip in which Kohli was seen walking back after completing the toss formalities and was in a very cheerful mood after winning the toss.
Steyn greeted Kohli by saying “It’s the birthday boy,” to which Kohli replied “About time I win a toss,” and the former Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) teammates shared a laugh.
