Team India searching for sixth bowling option

Stand-in skipper for the warmup match against Australia, Rohit Sharma, has revealed that Hardik Pandya is still trying his best to recover from his injury and will only bowl once he is 100% fit. However, having a sixth bowling option is quite necessary in a fickle format like T20s.

Rohit also mentioned that he himself, Virat Kohli, and Suryakumar Yadav are trying their best to contribute with the ball to fill in the void left by Hardik’s inability to bowl.

Myself, Virat, Surya. We’ll all bowl and see if we can chip in with a sixth option. Even if we play with five bowlers, we’ve got the quality. The sixth bowler just gives you an extra option in case someone is having a bad day,” Rohit said.
