1. Deepak Hooda
Deepak Hooda is the first player on this list. While Deepak Hooda impressed with his good performance in the shortest format, he was quite ineffective in the recent Asia Cup 2022. After his debut this year, the right-handed batsman has played 12 T20I games and scored 293 runs in 9 innings at an average of 41.85 and strike rate of 155+.
He has also hit 1 century. However, Hooda completely failed in Asia Cup 2022, where he hit just 19 runs in 2 innings. In both the games, he got out at a crucial stage. Hence, selectors could have gone with an experienced middle-order batsman than Deepak Hooda for T20 World Cup 2022.
2. Ravichandran Ashwin
Ravichandran Ashwin is another player on this list. Ashwin is one of the spin all-rounders for India in T20 World Cup 2022 squad. Even though Ashwin is a regular member of the team in the Test squad, he has very less appearances in T20I.
