Indian Cricket Team has applied a fearless approach since the debacle of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. So far, the team has been unable to play aggressive cricket. But they are somewhat lacking behind at the back end of the innings. India needs to work on it as that is hurting them.

India is all set to play in Australian Conditions where smashing sixes won’t be an easy job at all. The batters will have to be careful & selective in their approach and target shorter boundaries. India would be missing the services of Ravindra Jadeja who got injured during the Asia Cup 2022; as he is someone who doesn’t fear anyone.

Shardul Thakur On Batting Deep

Shardul Thakur was seen in a media interaction of the second ODI and made a point on the batting lineup. “If you see the teams who have done very well on the international platform, their batting lineup has been quite deep.” said Shardul.

For that matter Australia, if you see Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, they bat at number eight and nine. Even for that matter England. Even their batting lineup is deep. Why not the Indian team? Even we can have our batting lineup deep and make that difference in the game. The difference of 15-20 runs which can be crucial in winning the match, especially in white ball format.”  he added.

Crucial Tournament for India

Indian Cricket Team would be aware of the 2021 drubbing where billion people criticized the team. This T20 World Cup is a chance to make a statement that they are not a finished product. India has got all the players who can succeed in Australia, the only thing Rahul Dravid & Rohit Sharma would be worried that the team won’t take any sort of pressure.

India has done all the hard work by beating England, West Indies, Australia & South Africa and now the unit looks like a powerful one. The team has found match-winners on the given day which means that the team is no longer dependent on Virat & Rohit which is a great sign.
