ICC T20 World Cup 2022: Jos Buttler Goes Past Eoin Morgan To Become England's Leading Run-Scorer In T20Is

England Cricket Team surprised New Zealand with a clinical win. Britishers won the match by 20 runs and now would be aiming for a similar performance against Sri Lanka on 05th November. The team showed great character as defending 180 runs was not an easy task.

England would be pumped up after seeing the batting of Alex Hales who set the stage on fire. The right-handed batter was in beast mode in the power-play overs. Hales notched up a knock of 52 runs in 40 balls due to which there was no added responsibility on Jos Buttler.

Jos Buttler Surpasses Eoin Morgan

The wicket-keeper batter unleashed attack on the opposition and scored a blistering knock of 73 runs in 47 balls where he smashed 7 fours and 2 sixes. Due to his knock,  England managed to score 179-6. The batter now has scored 2,468 runs in 100 matches with an average of 33.80. Former Skipper Eoin Morgan had 2,458 runs to his name in 115 matches in 107 innings with an average of 28.58.

Invincible England

England would be booming with confidence as defeating New Zealand was a tough task. New Zealand has a habit of finding match-winners which makes them a dangerous. England would be mightily pleased as Jos Buttler has hit form at the perfect time as there was carnage.

The team though would be wary that Sri Lanka would possess a challenge. The Island Nation would be eager to drag down England as they don’t have a realistic chance of making it to Semi-Finals. Sri Lanka would be eyeing revenge for the 2021 T20 WC defeat where England had rattled them.
