Indian Cricket Team currently is on a roll after winning back-to-back T20I Series against Australia & South Africa. The Men in Green have rediscovered their mojo and are looking a powerful unit. The team, however, has some concerns as the bowlers are not able to defend the targets for the team consistently.

Rohit Sharma would be mightily pleased as finally, the team has started to peak. Rohit looks a bit animated which is quite unlike to him as he has been the bowler’s captain. Rohit needs to make sure that he is amongst the runs as his wicket disturbs the team.

Parthiv Patel on Rohit Sharma

Former India opener Parthiv Patel who was a part of Mumbai Indians (MI) from 2015-2017 made an interesting remark on Rohit Sharma’s captaincy. “Rohit Sharma usually spends a lot of time with players who are out of form. I was not having a good season in 2016. That year he spoke with me a lot, but when I was playing well in 2015 and 2017, there was not much talking involved. When you know that the captain is backing you, it makes a lot of difference.” said Parthiv.

Toughest Task for Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma would be well aware of the Australian conditions as he was a part of the 2015 World Cup. He along with Virat Kohli will have to do a lot of hard work and guide the rest of the batters as scoring in Australia isn’t that easy. In the recently concluded T20I Series of Australia vs West Indies, world cricket witnessed the pace and bounce of the pitch.

India has taken a good decision to be in Australia before 2 weeks of the start of the tournament(qualifiers). The players would get acclimatized to the conditions and most importantly there would be camaraderie built amongst the team. Rahul Dravid would be hoping that the team shows character and would want every individual to contribute; as winning championships requires teamwork.
