Rohit Sharma has performed well since succeeding Virat Kohli as Team India’s permanent captain. Despite the Indian team’s failure to win the Asia Cup 2022, Rohit has a perfect series record in bilateral matches. In the three-match T20I series, India defeated South Africa 2-1, and Rohit won his tenth straight match as India’s full-time captain in bilateral matches.

After India’s disastrous performance at the T20 World Cup 2022 in the United Arab Emirates, Rohit took over as the team’s permanent captain for the T20 International series against New Zealand. As India’s captain since then, Rohit has never lost a bilateral series.

Rohit Sharma has now won 7 T20I, 2 ODI, and a Test Series since leading the side, with 3 of those series wins coming away from home.

With the three matches against South Africa, Rohit won his tenth consecutive bilateral series. India attempted to give a few peripheral players a chance to get vital playing experience in the third T20I after winning the previous two games.

The starting XI had players like Shreyas Iyer, Mohammed Siraj, and Umesh Yadav, but none of them made an impact. The match’s promoted starter Rishabh Pant too had trouble making an impact with the bat.

India had already defeated Australia by the similar margin before to the South Africa series. In order to ease the agonising wait for the World Cup, Rohit would like to see his side continue its current form in the T20 World Cup.
