T20 World Cup 2022 begins on October 16 with the Qualifier matches. In the 1st Qualifier match, Sri Lanka will take on Namibia. The super 12 round will commence on October 22 with the opening encounter between New Zealand and Australia.

A total of 33 matches will take place during the tournament, excluding the qualifiers round. T20 World Cup 2022 final will take place on November 13, 2022. All the teams are divided into 2 groups- 1 and 2. The top two teams from each group after the completion of the Super 12 stage will qualify for the semi-finals. The winners of both semi-finals will lock horns in the T20 World Cup 2022 final.

A total of 16 teams are part of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. New Zealand, Australia, England, Afghanistan, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and South Africa are the 8 teams that have already qualified for the super 12 round. 4 more teams will join these 8 teams in the super 12 round.

Ahead of the super 12 round, the qualifier round will take place in T20 World Cup 2022. During the qualifier round, 8 teams will battle against each other. Out of these, 4 teams will bag a place in the super 12 round. Sri Lanka, Namibia, UAE, West Indies, Scotland, and Ireland are part of the qualifier round. 2 more teams will join them later.

A total of 12 teams will be part of the super 12 round of T20 World Cup 2022. These teams are divided into 2 groups of 1 and 2. In group 1, there are teams like England, Australia, New Zealand, and Afghanistan. 2 more teams will join this group later. In group 2, there are teams like India, Pakistan, South Africa, and Bangladesh. Two more teams will join the group later.

Australia is the host of the T20 World Cup 2022. Stadiums like Adelaide Oval, The Gabba, Kardinia Park, Bellerive Oval, Perth Stadium, Sydney Cricket Ground, and Melbourne Cricket Ground are the venues that will host all the matches of the tournament.
