Former Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi claimed that the International Cricket Council (ICC) favored India in the game after India had won the match. Former England cricketer David Lloyd responded to Afridi’s claim.

A reporter said that the International Cricket Council (ICC) had “ensured India’s road to the final in the T20 World Cup” during a discussion about Shakib’s complaint on Samaa TV.

“Shakib Al Hasan said the same thing and it was shown on the screen as well. You saw the ground and how wet it was. But I feel that the ICC is somewhat inclined toward India. They want to ensure that India reaches the semifinals at any cost” Shahid Afridi said.

“I know what happened”: Shahid Afridi

Shahid Afridi, who was there throughout the conversation, responded by adding, “I’m aware of what occurred. Given the amount of rain that fell, the game resumed shortly after the intermission. It is clear that the ICC, India’s participation, and the pressure that comes with it are all important considerations.”

Llyod responded to the remark with a one-word tweet on Friday.

A fan responded to the post by asking him: “Do you believe that technology has relaxed umpires? They appear to be absent from games.” “ICC directives have made them passive,” Lloyd Added.

The victory over Bangladesh put India in a position to go to the T20 World Cup semifinals.
