Indian Cricket Team registered a narrow victory against Bangladesh. The Men in Blue won the match by 5 runs and now are at the top of Group 2. Virat Kohli once again whacked the bowlers around the park. The former skipper scored 64 runs in 44 balls where he smashed 8 fours and 1 six.
The right-handed batter was looking in sublime touch at Adelaide Oval. Virat now has smashed 3 half-centuries in 4 matches and has silenced all the outside noise. KL Rahul scored a terrific half-century and ended his poor form as he scored 50 runs in 32 balls where he smashed 3 fours and 4 sixes.
Shane Watson on Virat Kohli
Shane Watson was seen interacting with Star Sports and was asked about Virat Kohli.
“Over 1000 runs in T20 World Cups at an average of over 80, I am not able to get my head around this.
“T20 cricket is a high-risk game, high-risk batting and to think that he can do it at the biggest tournament, averaging so much and winning so many games for his country, he is a freak and those statistics are super freakish. It’s incredible that you can bat in such a high-risk format and score consistently. It’s ridiculous,” said Shane Watson.
India On A Roll
The Men in Blue would be ecstatic after this performance. The team showed great fighting spirit as at one stage, it looked like Bangladesh would run away with the game. The pick of the bowlers was Arshdeep Singh as the left-arm pacer took 2 crucial wickets and was spot on in the death overs.
The management though would be worried as the bowlers weren’t able to pick wickets at the initial stages of the match. They were thrashed by Litton Das and it looked as if he was toying with the bowlers. Perhaps, the team should use Axar Patel in the power-play overs as he has the knack of picking wickets.
