The T20 World Cup 2022 has been a game-changer for Team India thanks to Suryakumar Yadav. And it’s not like he just emerged out of nowhere and transformed the look of contemporary gaming.
Yadav, often known as SKY, has been active on the domestic circuit for a very long time, but he really gained attention after a string of impressive performances over the years, particularly in the IPL. His impressive batting performance against RCB in Abu Dhabi during the 2020 IPL caught the attention of the world. It must be noted that this occurred on the day he was passed up for the Australia tour.

He led Mumbai Indians and saw them home in a thrilling chase against Virat Kohli’s RCB, smashing 79 off 43. With this performance, he made his India debut against England just six months later and was never overlooked again. He currently hits the ball hard from the start, making him maybe India’s finest T20 batsman.
With players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and KL Rahul in the illustrious Indian top order, his strike rate of 180 is arguably the best. When a reporter questioned the captain about the value of SKY and how he could change the outcome of the semifinal match against England, the captain was all ears. He gave a hilarious answer.

“Suryakumar Yadav is the type of man who doesn’t have any baggage.” Not his suitcases, he has a lot of suitcases. To be honest, he enjoys shopping. But when it comes to carrying that extra weight, I don’t think he’s up to it. And you can tell when he’s playing. And he’s been doing it for a year,” Rohit stated during the pre-match press conference.
“I don’t know if you have heard him talk at the interviews, he bats in the same fashion” Rohit Sharma Added.
“I think knockout games are important”: Rohit Sharma
When discussing the significance of such knockout matches, Rohit Sharma claimed that a poor knockout game cannot define the careers of devoted cricketers who have long served Indian cricket.
“I believe that knockout games are vital. Because you only get to play once, and you only have one chance to do well in that knockout game. However, for players, what they have done throughout their careers does not define them. You know you work so hard all year to accomplish well in any format you choose to play.”

“So that one game isn’t going to decide anything. I believe we grasp the significance of knockout, but it is also crucial to recognize the amount of effort required to reach that stage over the course of a year.”
“For us as a player and as a team we can pride ourselves because we saw two of the quality teams that got knocked out” Rohit Sharma Added.
