Indian Cricket Team is all set to take on mighty England on 10th November (Thursday). The Men in Blue would be pumped up after a successful group stage where they won 4 matches out of 5. The management once again has the conundrum of Dinesh Karthik and Rishabh Pant as selecting one of them for the high-voltage clash won’t be easy.

England, the 2010 Champions would be hoping to take a leaf out of their historic triumph. England’s middle order hasn’t fired as expected which would be bothering the skipper Jos Buttler as every time the openers won’t lay a solid foundation for the rest of the batting unit.

AB de Villiers on Dinesh Karthik and Rishabh Pant

AB de Villiers was seen speaking on his YouTube channel and made some interesting comments on Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik. “Difficult one. For me, absolutely no doubt, DK should be there. Knock-out stages, he’s experienced, I would want him. But, here’s the curveball, I would want Pant in the team as well. I would find another spot for him. I don’t know who makes way for him.” said AB de Villiers.

“Pant has got Test hundreds in Australia before, he’s got the experience, and the confidence to take the game away from any bowling attack. He can face fast bowling and spin. He’s versatile, I will make room for both of these guys. You need DK’s experience and you need Pant’s match-winning abilities. That’s my five cents.” he added.

Rishabh Pant Dangerous

The left-handed wicket-keeper batter knows how to surprise the opponent with his brisk stroke-play. As England has got Rashid and Moeen, Rishabh can easily thrash them. Playing Rishabh Pant makes India’s batting lineup more stronger as the likes of Hardik Pandya can play the role of finisher.

The peculiarity of Rishabh Pant is that he can play the waiting game too which makes him a threatening batter. If included in the playing 11, the batter can be used as a floater. Head Coach Rahul Dravid and Skipper Rohit Sharma would be well aware of the fact that changing the combination can disturb the dynamics of the team.
