Indian Cricket Team suffered a heart-breaking defeat against England. The Men in Blue would be utterly disappointed with this performance as there was no fight. Skipper Rohit Sharma looked clueless against Jos Buttler and Alex Hales as the batters were showing no mercy.

England on the other hand would be joyed with their performance as winning the match by 10 wickets is quite remarkable. England was quite clinical in all the 3 departments of the match as they never allowed any bowler to settle down which was the stand-out feature of the match.

Sarandeep Singh on Yuzvendra Chahal

Sarandeep Singh was having an interaction with PTI and was asked about what went wrong for India. “One of the team’s biggest mistakes was to not play Yuzvendra Chahal in the entire tournament especially today. You saw how effective England’s wrist spinners were. Not playing Rishabh Pant in the league stage (he played only one game) also baffled me.” said Sarandeep Singh.

“Unfortunately for India, Rahul and Rohit could not find form in the big games, putting pressure on Virat and Suryakumar, who both can’t perform game after game.I don’t see at least half of the team members playing the next T20 World Cup including Rohit, Virat, Ashwin, Shami and Bhuvi. The selectors need to take a call on that.” he added.

The Men in Blue weren’t able to post a dangerous total of around 180+ for the team. In the power-play overs, India managed to score only 38 runs for the loss of 1 wicket.  Throughout the tournament, Indian openers weren’t able to give the team a solid start which was one of the turning points for the team.

England’s openers were in beast mode. The peculiarity of England’s innings was that they not only rotated the stroke on a consistent basis but made sure that they are smashing boundaries on a regular basis. They were ready for all sorts of challenges as they were using their feet and were disturbing the bowlers.
