IND vs ENG: "Releasing Indian Stars To Play T20 Leagues Would ‘Finish’ Domestic Cricket"- Rahul Dravid

Indian Cricket Team suffered a heart-wrenching defeat against England in the Semi-Final. The Men in Blue were completely outclassed by mighty England. India would be in tatters as losing the match by 10 wickets is a huge margin in modern Cricket.
England on the other hand would be pumped up as not many gave them a chance to win against invincible India. There was carnage at the Adelaide Oval where both Alex Hales and Jos Buttler were in beast mode. The duo made sure that they are not allowing the run rate to go beyond the reach.
Rahul Dravid on Indian Cricketers
Head Coach Rahul Dravid was asked in the post-match press conference about whether Indian players can participate in the leagues. “I think it is very difficult for Indian cricket. A lot of these tournaments happen right at the peak of our season. It is a huge challenge for us. Yes, a lot of our boys do miss out on the opportunity to play in a lot of these leagues” said Rahul Dravid
“It is up to the BCCI to make these decisions, but it is right in the middle of our season. With the kind of demand there would be for Indian players, if you allowed Indian players to play in these leagues, we would not have domestic cricket. “It would affect our Ranji Trophy. It would affect Test cricket. Indian boys playing Test cricket is pretty important for the Test game as well, I would think.” he added.
Lack of Intent from Indian Batters
India managed to score only 38 runs in the power-play overs for the loss of 1 wicket. The intent from Rohit Sharma was a bit questionable as the batter scored 27 runs in 28 balls. Indian batters managed to score 68 runs in the last 5 overs but the first 6 overs hurt them a lot.
Dashing batter KL Rahul hasn’t been able to perform according to his credentials and has lacked consistency. England’s bowlers bowled immaculate line and length and made sure that the boundaries are hard to come. The Men in Blue would rue the fact that they missed a golden opportunity to stamp their authority.
