IND vs NED: "Suryakumar Yadav Is Tougher To Bowl To Than Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli"- Paul Van Meekeren

Indian Cricket Team registered a clinical victory against the Netherlands. The Men in Blue won the match by 56 runs and now have won 2 matches out of 2 in the marquee tournament. The peculiarity of this match was that Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Suryakumar Yadav all these batters smashed a half-century.

Netherlands on the other hand would be dejected as they didn’t put up a fight. The batters got into a shell by not rotating the strike and most importantly they allowed the bowlers to settle in. The Netherlands now is on the brink of getting eliminated from the tournament  after losing back-to-back matches.

Paul Van Meekeren on Suryakumar Yadav

Paul Van Meekeren was seen attending the post-match press conference and was asked about Suryakumar Yadav. “I think we know how good SKY is. Over the last 12 months, if not longer, I felt he was the biggest threat to bowl to with his open stance. The margin of error was a lot smaller compared to Rohit and Kohli, they are a bit more traditional, they are very good players in their own rights.” said Paul Van Meekeren.

“Rohit played some unbelievable shots, but I felt the biggest pressure while bowling to SKY. If you miss by a little bit, he punishes you. Same with other guys, but he did a little bit more today.” he added.

The way batters hammered bowlers was lethal. The Men in Blue would now sense that they are ready for the South Africa challenge. Though it would be a completely different ball game now the top order is back to runs again.

The management would be mightily delighted with the team’s performance as it was a near-perfect game. The team would be well aware that they can’t get complacent as momentum is everything in a short tournament. It would be interesting to see how India vs South Africa match unfolds as both teams are evenly matched.
