Pakistan Cricket Team suffered a heart-wrenching defeat against India. The Men in Green were in a dominant position as earlier their bowlers had created havoc by picking up 4 wickets inside 10 overs. Babar Azam would be quite frustrated as the bowlers weren’t able to pick wickets at regular intervals after the early burst.

India on the other side would be very much relieved after winning a thriller. The Men in Blue showed a never to say die attitude throughout the run chase. Virat Kohli showed World Cricket why he is still one of the best in Modern Cricket by playing a match-winning knock of 82 runs in 53 balls where he struck 6 fours and 4 sixes.

Mohammad Hafeez On Babar Azam

Mohammad Hafeez was having an interaction on a Pakistani Channel and was asked about Babar Azam’s Captaincy. “Babar Azam’s captaincy is like a sacred cow that cannot be criticized. It’s the third consecutive big game that we are seeing flaws in Babar captaincy, but we keep hearing that by the time he gets to the age of 32 he will learn,” said Hafeez.

“In today’s match, from the 7th over till the 11th over, when India were struggling for even 4 runs an over, why did Babar not fulfill the spin quota overs in that timeframe,” added Hafeez.

Heart-Break Loss for Pakistan

The Men in Green would be wondering how did they lose the match. Chasing 160 runs at the iconic MCG is never easy as the boundaries are very long. Pakistan should have squeezed a couple of overs from Iftikhar when Virat and Hardik were getting their eye in.

It would be interesting to see how the Pakistan Cricket Team makes a comeback as in a short tournament, a couple of losses can ruin all the hard work of the team. Head Coach Saqlain Mushtaq would be hoping that the skipper Babar Azam gets some significant runs under his belt.
