Pakistan Cricket Team received a heart-breaking loss against India. The Men in Green would be deeply saddened as they made a mess out of the match. Pakistan was in a commanding position as defending 48 runs in 3 overs is not a difficult task in modern Cricket.

India on the other hand would be well aware of the fact that they snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. The dashing batter Virat Kohli was instrumental in the run chase as he scored 82 runs in 53 balls where he struck 6 fours and 4 sixes against a powerful bowling lineup.

Wasim Akram was seen interacting with Pakistan TV Show ‘A’ Sports and was asked about bowling. “Haris had all the experience. But when there was pressure on Pakistan as well India in the 16th over to 19th over, both the fast bowlers went for slower deliveries,” said Akram.

Instead of trying back of length to the Indian batsman, which was troubling both of them, they tried 11 slower ones during that period. When you aim to take wickets, you can’t rely too much on slower ones. Both the sixes by Virat Kohli were hit on slower balls,” he added.

Questionable Captaincy from Babar Azam

The Skipper Babar Azam’s decision to give Nawaz proved to be quite controversial. Smashing boundaries to the left-arm spinner is not a tough task, especially for the in-form Virat Kohli. Nawaz first tried left-arm pace deliveries and then switched to his usual off-spinner.

Babar Azam should have squeezed a couple of overs from Iftikhar as he has the tendency of wrapping up the over quickly. Playing with 5 bowlers doesn’t look like a productive option in T20 Cricket. It would be interesting to see whether the team makes any changes to their playing 11.
