IND vs PAK: Nasser Hussain Points Out Area Of Concern Both India And Pakistan Will Struggle With In The T20 World Cup 2022

On October 23, Team India will square off against Pakistan in a highly anticipated match in the T20 World Cup. The two sides met twice during the Asia Cup last month, making this their third encounter in men’s cricket this year.
While India had won their opening match of the competition against Pakistan in the group stage, Babar Azam’s team narrowly beat India in the Super 4 round. Both teams participated in several T20I series in order to get ready for the T20 World Cup match.
Pakistan suffered a close 3-4 loss in the seven-match series against England earlier this month, while India won both of the T20I series against Australia and South Africa 2-1. Currently, the team is touring New Zealand and competing in a tri-nation T20I series against Bangladesh.

India And Pakistan Have A Lack Of All-Rounders: Nasser Hussain
India and Pakistan will likely finalise their World Cup lineups by October 15 like all other nations, but Nasser Hussain, a former England captain, has called attention to an obvious deficit in the two teams. Hussain said that neither team has a suitable No. 7 in their lineups, and he added that Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan will be worried about the issue.
“At the start of T20 cricket, everyone talked about how there is no need to worry about No.7, they’ll probably get like seven balls to face, so might as well play the extra bowler,” Hussain began as he spoke about the concern on Sky Sports Cricket.

“But actually, if you have a solid No.7, then it means that your top six can absolutely go for it. That has been an issue for India, they don’t have enough all-rounders and Pakistan as well. Babar and Rizwan are so worried about the depth of their batting, so 20 overs becomes a very long time,” he further said.

India Go Into Their Shell In ICC Events: Nasser Hussain
Hussain feels that the Indian squad has to break out of its shell since they were “timid” in past World Cup campaigns.

“India’s issues have been ICC events really. They have been going around beating everyone, with a variety of players, they have rotated and rested. But the truth is that they have played some timid cricket in world events, like almost gone into their shell.
They definitely played some fearful cricket in the last World Cup, especially in the powerplays,” said the former English skipper.
