According to former Indian opening batter Aakash Chopra, only one of India and Pakistan would advance to the semifinals, with South Africa picking up the second spot.

The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 will begin on October 16 and will be played across seven sites in Australia. India will begin their campaign against archrival Pakistan at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on October 23. (MCG).

Both the teams have qualified directly for the Super 12 stage and are in Group 2 with South Africa and Bangladesh. Two more teams from the qualifiers will join the four already in place.

Because only the top two teams from each group will advance to the knockouts, each and every group stage match will be crucial for the competing teams.
