Rohit Sharma, the captain of India, gave Drushil Sharma, then 11 years old, a day to remember by inviting him into the T20 World Cup nets. Sharma saw the young player bowling in the stadium, called him into the dressing room, and asked him to bowl to him in the nets.
In a video posted on the Board of Control for Cricket in India website, the 11-year-old left-arm pacer discussed his meeting with the Indian captain and revealed that his favourite balls to bowl were an out-swinging yorker and an inswinging yorker.
The entire incident surrounding why Rohit chose to question the youngster at the nets was described by Team India’s analyst Hari Prasad Mohan, and it will melt your heart.
“When we arrived at the WACA for a practice an session, the kids had just finished their morning event.” We could see 100 or so kids playing and enjoying cricket as soon as we entered our dressing room.”
“There was one kid who caught everyone’s attention, and Rohit was the first to identify the kid, and after watching him, the two-three balls he bowled, everyone was amazed by his smooth run-up and how naturally talented he was,” Hari Mohan said in a video posted on the BCCI’s official website.

Rohit Sharma recently highlighted Bumrah’s injury:
Rohit Sharma recently discussed Bumrah’s injury and the reasoning behind the decision to not select him for Australia.
He said, “We spoke to a lot of the specialists about his injuries, but we did not get a decent response. This World Cup is important, but his career is more important. He is only 27-28, there is a lot of cricket in front of him.”
On October 23 in Melbourne, Team India will play its opening T20 World Cup match against bitter rival Pakistan. India will also play in two pre-World Cup warm-up games. On October 17 they play Australia, and on October 19 they play New Zealand.
