KL Rahul Had Only Got His Rhythm Back – Dodda Ganesh

Former Indian cricketer Dodda Ganesha stated that Rahul will be a game changer for Team India in the World Cup and he has started showing his form. He added that resting the right-hander in this situation could be detrimental to him, who is gaining momentum.

“KL Rahul had only got his rhythm back and he is been rested along with Kohli for the third T20I. I don’t understand this. Both had long lay offs & had only returned recently. When you’re in form play as many game as possible & score runs. That’s what I believe,” he tweeted.

KL Rahul’s strike rate has improved after his Asia Cup outings. The 30-year-old scored 57 off 28 balls against South Africa in Guwahati. Shreyas Iyer, who was drafted into the side following Deepak Hooda’s injury, is expected to take Kohli’s place. Suryakumar Yadav or Rishabh Pant is likely to replace KL Rahul at the top of the order and will open the batting along with skipper Rohit in Indore.
