IND vs SA: “Suryakumar Yadav Har Taraf Bara Zabardast Khelta Hai” – Misbah-ul-Haq

Pakistan veterans; Wasim Akram, Shoaib Malik and Misbah-ul-Haq are highly impressed with the performance of Suryakumar Yadav in recent times and they showered praise on the star India National Cricket Team middle-order batter.

The 32-year-old Suryakumar Yadav, who has so far played 13 ODIs and 36 T20Is for the Men In Blue, has emerged as India’s best batter in the shortest international format of the game. Currently, the star middle-order batter is at the No.3 spot in the ICC Men’s T20I Batting Rankings with 828 rating points.

Speaking on A Sports ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 match between India and South Africa, veteran Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik praised Suryakumar’s usual hook shot.

He stated: “Woh jo shots maarta hai, Suryakumar, peeche ki taraf jo khelta hai. But unka technique hi itni achi hai ki bounce na bhi mile toh bhi peeche ki taraf khel sakti hai (That shot he plays, the one he hits behind…his technique is so good that even if he doesn’t get that elevation, he can execute it).”

Legendary Pakistan National Cricket Team pacer Wasim Akram said that the star India middle-order batter is “something different”. He said:

“SKY is something different, isn’t he? Aisi shots youngsters seekh sakte hai (These are the kind of shots youngsters should learn).”

Malik further said that Suryakumar can play with the minds of the bowlers.

“Woh bowler ke dimag ke saath bhi khel sakta hai. Conditions yaha pe different hai aur idhr iss tarike ki shots khelne kiliye dil chaiye (He can play with bowler’s mind as well. Conditions at Perth will be different for the South Africa game but to play these shots you need to be bold),” he said.

During the same discussion, ex-Pakistan skipper Misbah-ul-Haq said that Suryakumar has got the ability to play all around the park.

“Peechle do matches main jo dekha hai, he has been playing very well. Har taraf bara zabardast khelta hai (He has been playing really well. He can play all around the park).”
