South Africa National Cricket Team registered a clinical win against India. The Proteas would be mightily pleased with the performance as the team didn’t give any chance to the opposition. South African bowlers were hammered by Suryakumar Yadav where the right-handed batter smashed 68 runs in 40 balls where he struck 6 fours and 3 sixes.
David Miller was the stand-out batter who scored an unbeaten 59 runs in 46 balls. The left-handed batter had come into the crease when the team had lost 3 wickets for 24 runs. The batter got ample support from Aiden Markram where Markram was quite aggressive in his approach.
Stephen Fleming on Suryakumar Yadav
Former New Zealand Captain Stephen Fleming was seen having an interaction with ESPNcricinfo and was asked about Suryakumar Yadav. “He just has a really positive mindset. And he has a very open and aggressive stance which allows him to play a lot of unusual areas. So he’s sort of created a technique which bowlers are finding it hard to find the right lengths [against] because if they’re full he’ll hit all the way over cover or around; if they’re fractionally short he’ll go over third man and point.” said Fleming.
Invincible Suryakumar Yadav
The right-handed batter showed how to score runs against a quality fast bowling lineup. The team was under tremendous pressure when all-star batters were back in the dugout. At one stage, it looked as if India would get bundled out inside 100 runs as the team was in a precarious position at 49-5 inside 10 overs.
Suryakumar Yadav looked like a man on a mission. He wasn’t afraid of taking down Nortje and Rabada by any means. The right-handed batter silenced all the outside noise who was stating that he doesn’t perform against big teams. It would be interesting to see how he fares against Bangladesh as the Bangladeshi Tigers are coming back off a fascinating victory.
