India vs Pakistan: Twitter Erupts As Virat Kohli's Smashes Unbeaten 82 Under Pressure Against Pakistan At The MCG

Virat Kohli starred and was lauded on Twitter as India won the close encounter against Pakistan in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 on October 23rd at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Super Sunday.
Pakistan was asked to bat first after Rohit Sharma won the toss and chose to bowl first. Arshdeep Singh with 3/32, removed Babar Azam for a golden duck and then sent back Mohammad Rizwan for cheap as well.
Iftikhar Ahmed (51) and Shan Masood (52*) then added 76 runs for the third wicket with Ahmed hitting Axar Patel for 3 sixes in an over, which proved to be his only over in the match. Then Hardik Pandya came into action and removed Shadab Khan (5), Haider Ali (2) and Mohammad Nawaz (9) after Mohammed Shami had gotten rid of the dangerous Iftikhar.
But Pakistan came back strongly in their last 5 overs, making 53 runs with Shaheen contributing 16 and even Haris Rauf hitting a six in the last over as Pakistan finished with 159/8 in 20 overs. Hardik Pandya also finished with 3/30 in his 4 overs.
Virat Kohli Stars As He Shepherds India To 4-Wicket Win; Their Most Memorable One In T20 World Cups
India suffered a similar fate as Pakistan with the bat, after being reduced to 31/4. Naseem got KL Rahul playing onto his stumps for 4 and Rohit Sharma caught in slips off Haris Rauf for 4. Suryakumar Yadav looked good for his 15, but was out unable to play the bounce from Haris Rauf and while Axar Patel was promoted up the order to negate the spinners, he was run out after a misunderstanding with Virat Kohli.
Though Hardik Pandya and Kohli added 113 runs for the 5th wickets, Hardik only made 40 in 37 and it was Virat Kohli who shouldered the Indian chase with a sublime 82* in 53 balls with 6 fours and 4 sixes. He ran hard on the huge MCG ground and then brought India back into the game by hitting Haris Rauf for two sixes in the 19th over.
Twitter was all praises for Virat Kohli and lauded him whole heartedly.

Virat’s knock in Mohali in the #T20WorldCup against Australia was probably one of the finest I have seen and this one was probably a notch higher because of the big ground & India being 31-4. Class is always permanent and an outstanding win for Team India in a thriller #IndvsPak pic.twitter.com/HsJ5R0Caqu
