Star India National Cricket Team all-rounder Hardik Pandya played an absolutely sensational knock in the second semi-final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 against Jos Buttler-led England National Cricket Team at the Adelaide Oval on Thursday, November 10.
England National Cricket Team won the toss and invited India to bat first in the blockbuster match. India were quite happy with the toss as they wanted to bat first anyway.

However, the decision to bat first was not quite favourable for the side as they lost the wicket of the struggling opener, KL Rahul, in the second over itself.
Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli batted cautiously to provide some stability to the Indian innings and they added 47 runs. The No.1 ranked T20I batter Suryakumar Yadav also got out early after smashing a couple of good boundaries.
Virat Kohli stood strong on one end and Hardik Pandya provided the former Indian captain great support. They together added terrific 61 runs in 40 balls, before Kohli got out in the 18th over.
Then, Hardik Pandya, who started off slow and was at 13*(15) in the 16th over, started the acceleration and never looked back. He destroyed England’s death bowlers – Sam Curran and Chris Jordan – and helped India set a target of 169 for the Three Lions.
Hardik Pandya smashed sensational 63 runs off 33 balls, including 4 fours and 5 sixes. He batted with a brilliant strike rate of 190.91. In the last 5 overs, the Men In Blue scored 68 runs with Hardik Pandya contributing 54 runs off 21 balls.
