Former New Zealand National Cricket Team captain and the current Chennai Super Kings (CSK) head coach, Stephen Fleming, has lavished ultimate praise on the star England National Cricket Team all-rounder Ben Stokes for his heroics in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 summit clash.
The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 final between Pakistan and England was played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Sunday. Losing the toss and batting first, Pakistan didn’t perform very well and they only managed to post 137/8 on the board.

The run-chase was not an easy one for the Three Lions, despite having one of the strongest batting units in the world. Pakistan’s lethal pace attack cleaned up three England batters in the powerplay and dominated the middle overs.
However, the Pakistani bowlers were not able to dismiss the star all-rounder Stokes. Ben Stokes remained unbeaten and scored 52 runs off 49 balls, including 5 fours and 1 six, to help England win the match by 5 wickets with 6 balls remaining.
He’d been in some unbelievable battles and you’d back him most times to win them – Stephen Fleming on Ben Stokes

Former New Zealand skipper Stephen Fleming lauded Stokes, asserting that he is a “big personality and a big winner”. He added that Ben Stokes has fought some of the “unbelievable battles” and has delivered most of the time under pressure situations.
“He is a big presence; he is a big personality and a big winner. Those are the key ingredients that you need from being a good to a great player. What he is doing is forging a career where he is there in key moments; he wins Test matches, he’d been in some unbelievable battles and you’d back him most times to win them,” Fleming was quoted as saying to ESPNcricinfo.
“So his temperament is so tested and comes through every time that you have got to say he is a champion under pressure. And there’s not many that rise to that occasion as much as he seems to do; he gets in a position where he is the main man and everyone around him feeds off that,” Fleming added.
