The legendary Melbourne Cricket Ground will host the 2022 T20 World Cup final between England and Pakistan. The match is being played in front of a large audience.
It’s a rematch of the World Cup final from 1992, when the two teams squared off for the 50-over championship. In the critical match, England has won the toss and chosen to bowl first. For the mega-final, neither team has altered.
In honour of David English, the England players are sporting black armbands during the game. David is credited with founding English cricket. He died on Saturday, November 12, at the age of 76.

“So sad to hear the news of David English passing away. One of life’s great characters, so fun to spend time with and producer of some of the best English cricketers through his wonderful Bunbury Festivals. RIP,” tweeted Jos Buttler on the eve of the final.

Rain is likely to have a significant impact on the game during the final and has a high probability of occurring. If it rains on Sunday, an additional 90 minutes will be added to the day’s play (November 13). Additionally, a reserve day is scheduled. To calculate the outcome of the match, an innings must contain at least 10 overs.
