During the 13th over of the second innings when Australia were chasing the target, the camera panned to Rishabh Pant, who was sitting alongside Deepak Hooda, Mohammed Shami and England’s Moeen Ali.
The young wicketkeeper-batter Pant, who was having a chat with Moeen Ali, was spotted with heavy strapping and an ice-pack on his right knee, which led to fans speculating that the 25-year-old has sustained a knee injury.

It has not yet been confirmed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) whether Pant has sustained a knee injury, but it is believed that nothing is serious and the wicketkeeper-batter was using the ice-pack on his knee for pain relief.
Rishabh Pant Not Part Of India’s First XI

India National Cricket Team named a 15-man squad for the warm-up game against Australia National Cricket Team. However, the young wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant was not named in the first XI of the side and he along with Mohammed Shami, Yuzvendra Chahal and Deepak Hooda were named beyond XI.
This could be an indication that the veteran wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik will be given the preference over Pant in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 games.
Meanwhile, the India National Cricket Team won the thrilling warm-up game against Australia by 6 runs with the help of Mohammed Shami’s sensational final over, KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav’s brilliant batting, and Virat Kohli’s incredible fielding.
India National Cricket Team will next lock horns with Kane Williamson-led New Zealand National Cricket Team in the warm-up game on October 19.

The Super 12 round of the ICC Men’s T20 World 2022 will commence on October 22 and the final is set to take place on November 13 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
In their tournament opener, India National Cricket Team will lock horns with Babar Azam-led Pakistan National Cricket Team on October 23 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
