Indian captain Rohit, who hasn’t been at his best in recent times, once again failed to play a big knock for the side in the blockbuster semi-final game. He was dismissed on the 5th ball of the 9th over, which was bowled by pacer Jordan.

The English pacer bowled a full-length delivery to Rohit that pitched on off-stump and the Indian captain wanted to launch it over wide long-on. However, he mistimed his shot and the ball went up in the air. Sam Curran, the deep mid-wicket fielder, charged forward and grabbed an absolutely amazing catch to clean up the Indian captain.

India Field Unchanged XI, England Make A Couple Of Huge Changes

England National Cricket Team won the toss and opted to bowl first in the blockbuster match. India were quite happy with the toss as they wanted to bat first anyway. The Men In Blue fielded the same team where Rishabh Pant was picked over Dinesh Karthik.

On the other hand, the Three Lions were forced to make two big changes to the playing XI as the reliable middle-order batter Dawid Malan and the pace spearhead Mark Wood were out with injuries and Phil Salt and Chris Jordan were included in the team.

Notably, express pacer Mark Wood was suffering from “general stiffness” and he did not take any part in the practice session on Tuesday. Also, star batter Dawid Malan had suffered a groin injury.
