“What The Heck, Brilliant Final Over” – Twitter Hails Mohammed Shami As He Bowls A Terrific Final Over vs Australia In T20 World Cup 2022

Senior India National Cricket Team right-arm pacer Mohammed Shami bowled a terrific final over in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 warm-up game against Australia National Cricket Team to help the Men In Blue clinch the victory.
The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 warm-up match between Rohit Sharma-led India National Cricket Team and Aaron Finch-led Australia National Cricket Team was played at the Brisbane Cricket Ground, Woolloongabba, on Monday, October 17.

Australia National Cricket Team won the toss and invited India to bat first. India named a 15-man squad for the game with premier leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, pacer Mohammed Shami, wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant and batting all-rounder Deepak Hooda being named beyond XI.
Batting first, India posted a score of 186/7 on the board with the help of amazing half-centuries by opener KL Rahul and man-in-red-hot-form Suryakumar Yadav.
Chasing the target, Aaron Finch and Mitchell Marsh provided the Aussies with a terrific start. The Australian captain Finch, who scored 76 runs, batted exceptionally, but he got no support from the other end after the dismissal of Marsh.
Indian bowlers made a wonderful comeback in the match by picking wickets at regular intervals and in the final over Australia needed 11 runs to win.
Young left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh had one over left and many expected him to bowl the last over, but the Indian captain Rohit Sharma called Mohammed Shami out of nowhere to bowl his first over in the high-pressure situation.
Mohammed Shami did a terrific job with the ball and ended his spell with the figures of 1-0-4-3. He gave away 4 runs on the first two deliveries and on the next four balls Australia lost back-to-back wickets to get bundled out for 180.
Shami dismissed Pat Cummins on the third ball and Ashton Agar got run out on the fourth ball while the senior pacer bowled terrific deliveries to Josh Inglis and Kane Richardson to castle them on the last two balls.
Notably, Mohammed Shami, who has not played a T20I for India since the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 in UAE, has come in as a replacement for injured Jasprit Bumrah in the World Cup squad.

Two great yorkers coming in from the bench to finish the game by Shami.
That's as good a start as what any bowler can ask for. Hope to now see India bowl Shami in the PP in the next warm up game.
