Sri Lanka Cricket Team At ICC T20 World Cup 2024

Sri Lanka made their first T20 World Cup appearance in 2007. The team went into the finals in 2009 and 2012 where Pakistan and West Indies handed them a loss to win the World Cup. 

Appearing in 8 editions of the T20 World Cup, one of the underdog yet  competitive team of the format became the semi-finalists in 2010 where it lost to England. The most successful edition for Sri Lanka was of 2014, where it defeated India and became the Champions.

With some new faces and the current arsenal of talented youngsters and seasoned veterans, Sri Lanka team remains a tough competitor for other teams in the format.
