The 8 teams who are part of ICC Women’s World Cup 2022 are India Women, Pakistan Women, Australia Women, Bangladesh Women, New Zealand Women, South Africa Women, England Women, and West Indies Women.

The venue of the ICC Women’s World Cup is in New Zealand. Bay Oval (Mount Maunganui), University Oval (Dunedin), Seddon Park (Hamilton), Basin Reserve (Wellington), Eden Park (Auckland), and Hagley Oval (Christchurch) are the venues that will host the matches.

England is the defending champions of the tournament. They defeated India in the previous edition of the ICC Women’s World Cup in 2017. The Women’s World Cup 2022 was originally scheduled to take place last year but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the opening game of ICC Women’s World Cup 2022, hosts New Zealand Women will lock horns with West Indies Women on March 4 (Friday) at Bay Oval Stadium in Mount Maunganui. India Women will play their opening game against Pakistan Women on March 6 (Sunday) at Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui.

ICC Women’s World Cup 2022 will be played in a round-robin format. All 8 teams will face each other once during the tournament. The top four teams in the points table after the league stage will lock horns in the semi-final. The winners of the semis will collide in the final. The ICC Women’s World Cup 2022 final is scheduled to be played on April 3 (Sunday) at Hagley Oval in Christchurch.
