Yastika Bhatia Clarifies After ICC Posts Wrong Scorecard Of Ind-SA Women's Warmup Match

Indian batter Yastika Bhatia issued a clarification of the scorecard between India Women and South Africa Women after ICC ended up posting wrong information on their site.
The Indian women’s team took on South African women in a warmup game ahead of the 2022 Women’s ODI World Cup that will take place in New Zealand starting next week. The ball-by-ball update showed that South Africa won the match in the last over with four wickets remaining.
However, India had actually won the match by two runs. The confusion caused began multiplying after Cricket South Africa (CSA) also ended up tweeting that they had won the match.
Live ball by ball of ICC said South Africa won, then the score was updated, but now, per the scoresheet, it says INDIA WON BY 2 RUNS! Soon after, Bhatia took to social media and gave the official scorecard. It showed that South Africa ended up on 242 in their pursuit of 244. Soon after, the two teams played a mock super over to practice ahead of the World Cup. It was won by India as they chased down nine runs in five balls.

The tournament will kick off on March 4 at the Bay Oval in Tauranga where the hosts, New Zealand, take on West Indies women. As for the Indian women, they will be up against arch-rivals, Pakistan, on March 6, Sunday. England is the reigning defending champion having defeated India in the final of the 2017 World Cup.
