Indian batter Ajinkya Rahane achieved a massive milestone in the Test as he completed 5000 runs in the longest format of the game. He became only the 13th Indian batter in the history of the game to achieve the feat.

Ajinkya Rahane unlocked the milestone in the ongoing ICC World Test Championship (WTC) Final against Australia at The Oval, England. The batter has batted exceptionally well under tremendous pressure and has looked pleasing to the eyes. The right-hander has timed the ball to perfection and has bailed his team out of trouble.

But once Ravindra Jadeja was back, Ajinkya Rahane took the responsibility to himself and kept scoring the runs at a decent pace. The batter played crisp strokes and was batting currently on 89* at Lunch on Day 3. He has stitched 100+ partnerships with Shardul Thakur (36*) and has kept India in the hunt.
