The two giants of World Cricket India & Australia are going to face each other in the marquee ICC WTC 2021-23 final. All eyes would be on Steve Smith, the right-handed batter didn’t have a promising BGT 2023. Steve Smith managed to score 145 runs in 7 innings as he didn’t perform according to his credentials.

Australia can’t afford to take India’s lower-middle order lightly, we witnessed how the likes of Ravindra Jadeja &  Axar Patel frustrated the Australian bowlers in the recently concluded BGT 2023. Steve Smith though did a good job while leading the side in the last 2 matches (*Aussies won the 3rd test match) when Pat Cummins flew back to Australia citing personal reasons.

India on the other hand would be hoping that the star batter Rohit Sharma hits form after a horrendous IPL 2023, the batter looked in all sorts of trouble. He along with Shubman Gill will have to blunt the new ball which won’t be easy.

“Virat Kohli & Steven Smith are batting at the no.4 position. So the key is to get them in early as well as possible and their wickets early, and expose them to the brand new ball. It will be absolutely key. I will always side with Steven Smith. Steven Smith’s record is outstanding (*as compared to Virat Kohli) and it will be a very good contest,” he added.
