Pakistan Cricket Team is all set to lock horns against mighty England for the 1st Test Match starting from 01st December (Thursday). This Test Series is quite vital for Pakistan as they have a strong chance of making it to the World Test Championship (WTC 2021-23 ) final. They are currently placed at the 5th position with a percentile of 51.85. The skipper Babar Azam has a strenuous task as England’s aggressive approach has been quite threatening.

England would be aware that the conditions in Pakistan would be drastically different. England is all set to play a Test Series after 2005-06. England may have to change their approach as Pakistan has got a potent bowling lineup.

Babar Azam on WTC and England

Skipper Babar Azam was having an interaction with the media and was asked about World Test Championship (WTC 2021-23). “We are excited about that prospect of playing the WTC final. This is an important series. We have a golden chance to achieve that if we win four of the five Tests to come.” said Babar Azam.

“We got around a week to prepare for the series so that was great and has given us some edge and momentum. The best thing was that domestic first class matches were on so some of the players were already playing red ball cricket. Naseem (Shah) has been bowling well and whatever England have been doing I have that confidence and the belief that they will give their best to give us wins.” he added.

Great Chance for Pakistan

The Men in Green would be very happy if England continue their fearless approach then they will give a lot of chances to Pakistan. All eyes would be on head Coach Brendon McCullum as he will have to be spot on with his selection.

Skipper Babar Azam needs to make sure that he sticks to the crease and plays long and effective innings. The batting lineup of Pakistan is a bit fragile as the selectors surprisingly have dropped Fawad who would have been a great addition to the team.
