Indian Cricketer Rishabh Pant suffered a ligament tear in both of his knees in a car accident. One of them required immediate surgery.
This is why the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) evacuated him from Dehradun to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital on Wednesday. Ravindra Jadeja, the star all-rounder, suffered a similar ligament tear last year.

The Indian Express has reported that Rishabh Pant will need 4 months to heal from this injury and 6 months to make a comeback to the field. As a result, he will be unable to participate in the Indian Premier League 2023, the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, the ODI against Australia, and the white ball series against New Zealand (IND vs NZ) (IPL 2023). He’ll be able to compete in the World Test Championship final (WTC Final).
Regarding the return of Rishabh Pant, the official said, “The final of the World Test Championship (WTC Final) is in England in June. India can qualify for it and that is our focus.”

Rishabh Pant’s ligament is torn like Ravindra Jadeja’s:
Pant was injured in a car accident on December 30. Because Pant was unable to fly commercially, the BCCI chose to fly him to Mumbai via air ambulance.
Pant’s condition has improved, and he has been evacuated to Mumbai. Another thing that has emerged in this situation is that his ligament is torn in the same way that Ravindra Jadeja’s is. Jadeja had an injury at the Asia Cup. He had a ligament injury as well.
Ravindra Jadeja had surgery in September of last year. He is now ready to return to cricket. If the same is true for Pant, he will be out of action for at least 6 months. According to a BCCI official, doctors believe Pant’s ligament, like Jadeja’s, is torn. He may be out of cricket for an indefinite period.
