Australia National Cricket Team hammered West Indies National Cricket Team by 419 runs in the second Test of the two-match Test series at Adelaide Oval in Adelaide to bag 12 crucial ICC World Test Championship 2021-23 points.

Steve Smith led the Aussies in the second Test against West Indies, which was a pink-ball Test match, in the absence of skipper Pat Cummins, who got ruled out of the match after sustaining a minor quad injury.

Also, premier pacer Josh Hazlewood was ruled out of the second Test due to “general soreness” but further investigation revealed the low-grade left side strain. The Ashes 2021-22 hero Scott Boland and pacer Michael Neser were included in the playing XI as replacements for Cummins and Hazlewood.

Australia won the toss and elected to bat first in the match. In-form Marnus Labuschagne and Travis Head batted exceptionally well against the West Indies attack and Australia decided to declare the innings at the score of 511/7.
