Updated ICC World Test Championship Points Table After Pakistan vs England 3rd Test, WTC Table. England Cricket Team won the 3rd Test Match by 8 wickets at Karachi and whitewashed the mighty Men in Green by 3-0. The visitors would be mightily pleased as they won the Test Match in the absence of their star fast bowlers James Anderson & Stuart Broad(not a part of the Test tour).
England required 167 runs to win the Test match as earlier England bundled out Pakistan for 216 runs. Once again Babar Azam and Saud Shakeel failed to get a big score. Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett gave the team a rollicking start as they were involved in a fiery opening partnership of 87 runs.
Complete Performance from England
The 18-year-old leg spinner created havoc in Pakistan’s 2nd innings. The debutant took a 5 wicket haul and got ample turn from the pitch where he gave away 48 runs in his 14.5 overs. It never looked as if he was playing in his 1st Test Match as he showed immense control. In the 1st innings, the spinner had taken 2 wickets and was taken to the cleaners but he showed a lot of character.
Harry Brook continued his purple patch as the right-handed batter scored his 3rd ton of the series. There was a miscommunication between him & Stokes but Brook didn’t panic as he played a sensational knock. The batter was quite keen on rotating the strike. Brook in a short span of time has become an integral part of the team. England got an invaluable 50 runs lead which proved to be quite decisive in the 1st innings.
Pakistan would be utterly disappointed with their performance as once again they failed in the crunch moments of the match. The injuries hurt Pakistan a lot as they lost Haris Rauf, Naseem Shah & others. England would be over the moon as they wouldn’t have thought of winning the Test Series by 3-0.
ICC World Test Championship Table
With this win, England have retained their 5th position with a percentile of 47. England now has successfully spoiled the party of Pakistan as now they are out of the WTC 2021-23 final race. Pakistan’s next Test Assignment is against New Zealand where they would be keen to end the cycle on high.
