IND vs AFG: Afghanistan To Play Against India Between Tour Of Bangladesh During Eid Ul Adha Break - BCB Cricket Operation Chairman Jalal Yunus

The Afghanistan cricket team are set to play a series in India in between their tour of Bangladesh. According to Jalal Yunus, the BCB Cricket Operations Chairman, Afghanistan will play one Test, three ODIs, and two T20Is in Bangladesh, before moving to India to play a series during the Eid ul Adha break. The remaining games of the Bangladesh tour will be played after Afghanistan complete their assignment in India.
Initially, Afghanistan were scheduled to play two Tests, three ODIs, and three T20Is in Bangladesh next month. However, the itinerary was revised, and one Test and one T20I were removed from the schedule. Yunus said that the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) had requested the change, and they were very excited about the India series.

According to reports from Cricbuzz the lone Test will be played between June 10 to June 19 before Afghanistan move to India to play a white-ball series. Before their visit to Bangladesh, Afghanistan will travel to Sri Lanka to play a short three-match ODI series.
The revised itinerary allows Afghanistan to play a series in India during the Eid ul Adha break, which falls in the middle of the Bangladesh tour. Yunus said that they accepted ACB’s request considering the break and the opportunity to play in India.

Afghanistan Set To Prepare For A Busy Month
Informing about the game schedule, Jalal Yunus confirmed that the visitors will be one Test in Bangladesh and then play matches in India before returning to Bangladesh for the remainder of the series.
“We had two Tests with Afghanistan but we have excluded one Test from it, and now we will play one Test along with three ODIs and two T20Is, and this is the itinerary, We are in discussions with the Afghanistan Cricket Board, and hopefully within a day or two, we can finalize the venues.”
“They wanted to go to India after playing one format. Here we will play one Test and later they will move to India during the Eid ul Adha to play the series and later after completing their assignment in India, they will return to Bangladesh to play the remaining part of the series. They (ACB) are very excited with the India series and after it was finalized they requested us to play in the new schedule. We have accepted their request considering at that point there is Eid ul Adha break and that is the reason we did not have any reservation,” he said.
The Afghanistan cricket team have been on the rise in recent years, and they have established themselves as a competitive side in the international arena.
The series against India will be a crucial one for them as they continue to build their team for the future. The revised itinerary provides them with an opportunity to play more matches and gain valuable experience against quality opposition.
