David Warner Posts Heartwarming Message After Landing In India

There is absolutely no denying that David Warner is one of the most loved overseas cricketers among the Indian fans. Very few players from outside India have managed to receive adulation from the Indian fans as much as David Warner has.

Apart from his exploits in international cricket, David Warner’s success in the Indian Premier League (IPL) has made him a very popular figure in India. His occasional Instagram reels on Indian songs is also a huge hit among Indian fans. And it would not be wrong to say that the love between the Australian star and the Indian fans is mutual.

David Warner never shies away from expressing his love and excitement for India and the fans. And he was at it again on Wednesday (September 19). The left-handed batsman arrived in India with his team for the upcoming three-match ODI series against the home side and the all-important ICC World Cup 2023.

And soon after landing at the airport in New Delhi, David Warner took a selfie with security personnel and posted it on Instagram with the caption: “Always great to be welcomed back to India. We are always well looked after and well protected.”

David Warner eyes World Cup in India:

Over the years, David Warner has enjoyed some memorable moments on Indian soil and the Australia opener would be looking to have another special moment by winning the upcoming World Cup. The southpaw was an integral part of the Australian team that won the World Cup in 2015 and is eyeing his second World Cup title.

Australia are the most successful side in the history of the competition. While no other team has won the World Cup more than twice, they have won it five times. The Pat Cummins-led side are one of the favorites for the upcoming edition too.

David Warner looked in good form in the recently concluded ODI series against South Africa. He scored a century and a fifty in the five-match series. Before the World Cup, Australia will play three ODIs against India. The series is scheduled to start on Friday (September 22).
