Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja hit out at his father for his comments on the cricketer and his wife Rivaba. He urged everyone to ignore his father’s comments as it was an attempt to tarnish his wife’s image.
Ravindra Jadeja has found himself in the middle of the family controversy. His father Anirudhsinh Jadeja blamed the cricketer’s wife Rivaba, saying that she created a rift in the family and separated their son from the parents.
Anirudhsinh said that he isn’t in touch with Ravindra Jadeja and his wife as they got separated after two or three months of their marriage. While expressing his emotions, he said that it would’ve been better had he not made his son marry. Speaking to Divya Bhaskar, he explained”
“Do you want me to tell you one truth? I have absolutely no relation with Ravindra and his wife, Rivaba. We don’t call them, and they don’t call us. The issues started after two or three months of their marriage. I currently live alone in Jamnagar, while Ravindra resides in a separate bungalow of his own.
“He lives in the same city, but I don’t get to see him. I don’t know what magic his wife has done on him. He is my son, and it burns my heart. I wish I hadn’t gotten him married. It would have been better if he hadn’t become a cricketer. We would not have to go through all this in that case.”
This didn’t go well with Ravindra Jadeja as he took to his social media account and claimed that allegations by his father were wrong. He posted a message in Gujarati with the caption “Let’s ignore what’s said in the scripted interviews.”
In the note, written in Gujarati, Ravindra Jadeja said that whatever his father said in an interview was meaningless and false. He added that it was an attempt to tarnish the image of his wife, claiming that he too has many things to say but he doesn’t want to. He stated:
“The things mentioned in the dubious interview to Divya Bhaskar are meaningless and false. Those are one-sided comments that I deny them. The attempt to tarnish the image of my wife is improper and condemnable. I too have a lot to say but it is better that I don’t reveal those things in public.”
Ravindra Jadeja likely to play the Rajkot Test
Ravindra Jadeja was part of the Indian squad for the first two Tests against England. The all-rounder played a sensational role for the team with both bat and ball. But he clutched his hamstring ruled him out of the second Test in Vizag. He then proceeded to NCA for his recovery.
Ravindra Jadeja reportedly has shown great signs of recovery and is in contention to play the third game. The all-rounder’s availability will be subject to the medical assessment of his hamstring by the team management. The Indian squad for the last three games is all set to be announced on 8th February.
It remains to be seen if Ravindra Jadeja makes a comeback in his home Test or not. If he returns it will be a big boost for the team, especially with the series scoreline at 1-1.
