Former England cricketer Michael Vaughan heaped rich praise on India batter Yashasvi Jaiswal for his heroics on Day 3 of the ongoing third Test in Rajkot. He said that the young batter is the next all-format all-condition superstar.

India had a dominating day in the Rajkot Test and it’s fair to say that they have got the game under their grasp. Coming into the day, they were jolted by the blow of Ravichandran Ashwin, who withdrew from the team due to a medical emergency in the family.

However, India stood tall against all the odds. They first ended the England innings on 319 runs, taking a lead of 126 runs, and then were sensational with the bat. One of the prime reasons behind their dominance on the field was young batter Yashasvi Jaiswal, who set the stage on fire and played stellar innings.

Yashasvi Jaiswal continued his dream run in Test cricket as he slammed another century and put India in a dominating position. The batter played slowly upfront but once he got his eye in, he took the game away from the opposition with his aggressive innings and batted magnificently well.

Yashasvi Jaiswal brought up his third Test century in 122 balls and made many stand and applaud him. The batter made a brilliant acceleration after a slow start and made sure that he put England on the back foot and helped India take a lead of over 200 runs with ease in the match.

Yashasvi Jaiswal didn’t put a foot wrong in his innings as he scored 104 runs off 133 balls and also slammed 9 fours and 5 sixes in his innings. The batter got retired hurt and then walked back to the pavilion. He is now expected to bat tomorrow and continue from where he left off.

“Next all format all condition superstar” – Michael Vaughan’s rich praise for Yashasvi Jaiswal

After his magnificent innings, Yashasvi Jaiswal impressed many with his heroics. The batter made Michael Vaughan go gaga about him. The former England cricketer was impressed with the way the game unfolded on Day 3 of the Test match in Rajkot.

Michael Vaughan believes it was a fascinating day for India. He feels that Ravichandran Ashwin missing the game seems to have galvanized the group. He also heaped rich praise on Yashasvi Jaiswal for changing the context of the game. Taking to his Twitter account, he explained:

“Another fascinating day play .. England for the wrong reasons & India for all the right reasons .. the loss of @ashwinravi99 seems to have galvanised the group .. And @ybj_19 is the next all format all condition superstar.”

During his innings, Yashasvi Jaiswal also joined Virat Kohli in the unique feat. He became the first Indian batter since Virat Kohli to smash over 400 runs in an India vs England Test series. The senior batter had scored 593 runs during the 2018 Test series against England. The young opener would want to add more to his tally and even go past Virat to script the history.
