"Normalcy has resumed" - Twitter erupts as India crush England in 2nd Test to level the series 1-1

India won the second Test against England at Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy Cricket Stadium in Vishakhapatnam (Vizag) and has now leveled the five-match series by 1-1.

The hosts won the Test match by a convincing margin of 106 runs as Jasprit Bumrah took the last wicket of Tom Hartley to finish things off in style. England started the fourth day’s play at 67/1 and then went on to lose wickets in regular intervals and eventually got bowled out for 292 in their second innings.

England won the first Test at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad by 28 runs and the second Test became a crucial one for India. Rohit Sharma won the toss at Vizag and chose to bat first on a batting-friendly track.

Yashasvi Jaiswal lit up the stage scoring his maiden double-century in Test cricket as he scored 209 off 290 deliveries in the first innings and powered India to a total of 396. Jasprit Bumrah took over the responsibility during England’s first innings and got a six-fer to bundle the England innings on 253.

Shubman Gill who was struggling with form got a brilliant ton in the second innings scoring 104 off 147 deliveries and helping the team to give a 399-run target to England in the fourth innings.

Jasprit Bumrah and Ravichandran Ashwin took three wickets each in the fourth innings to power the hosts to a famous win against England in Vizag. This is the second Test win for India in 2024. The Indian team has moved to the second spot on the WTC points table with a PCT of 52.77 behind Australia.

Fans are delighted with this win and are showering their love and praise for the team on ‘X’. Jasprit Bumrah has been the hero with the ball in this game as the seamer closed the match with nine wickets to his name.

He took a six-fer in the first innings and took three wickets in the second innings. Fans have heaped praises on him and the team for a wonderful performance in the second Test to level the series 1-1 and now the two teams will clash in Rajkot for the third Test which will commence on February 15.
