Rohit Sharma has never shied away from venting his frustration and anger on the cricket field. While there are many players who don’t like to keep their emotions under control on the cricket field, they try their best to control their emotions when the cameras are focused on them.

However, Rohit Sharma is an exception. Time and again, one has seen Rohit Sharma expressing his feelings on the cricket field irrespective of whether the camera is focused on him or not. And he was at it again on Friday (February 24) during the ongoing fourth Test against England in Ranchi.

The India skipper lost his cool after the cameras kept showing him on the giant screen instead of the replay when he reviewed a decision. The incident took place in the 60th over of England’s innings when Ravindra Jadeja’s delivery hit Ben Foakes on his pads.

The Indian fielders appealed for an LBW but the umpire gave his decision in the favour of the batting side. However, wicketkeeping Dhruv Jurel was confident that Foakes was out and Rohit Sharma decided to go for the review after consulting the wicketkeeper. And as the players were looking at the giant screen, the cameras kept showing Rohit Sharma. The India star lost his cool and vented his frustration in an animated manner.

As far as review is concerned, the original decision was upheld and India wasted their third review as well. The replays showed that the ball was missing leg stump. Talking about the game, England were on 198 for 5 at the tea break. Joe Root and Foakes have steadied the ship for the tourists with an unbeaten stand of 86 runs after they were reduced to 112 for 5 in the first session.

Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett added 47 runs for the first wicket before debutant Akash Deep ran through England’s top order. He dismissed both the openers as well as Ollie Pope in quick succession to reduce England to 57 for 3. Root and Jonny Bairstow took the score past the 100-run mark but could not bat their team to a strong position. Ravichandran Ashwin broke the stand by dismissing Bairstow before Ravindra Jadeja dismissed Ben Stokes.
